Activated Carbon

Activated Carbon also known as Activated Charcoal is a much powerful absorbent, which has millions of small pores, habitually indiscernible to eye. It can absorb thousands of water contaminants. Many varieties are employed in water filtration. It is a material which has a positive charge and assists attracting even more scums. Normally, it has higher contaminant removal ability than GAC filters. It provides much effective absorption capabilities in combination with suitable water flow rates. Nevertheless, some applications exist where granular carbon is more fit, such as in eliminating chloramines (combined chlorine). Black Activated Carbon removes bad taste and odor, chlorine, and organic chemicals that can make effects in the taste and odor of water.  It has been employed for centuries to filter filths from drinking water. Also, it is widely applicable in the pharmaceutical industry for decolorization as well as separation of other trace impurities.
